Original art for sale of a bear cub about to eat a dandelion. In the late spring a Grizzly mother and her three new born cubs emerged from the forest along one of the back roads in Waterton National Park, Alberta, Canada. The 3 cubs played on the trees and among the dandelions. I have witnessed bears eating dandelions before, leaving the protection of the forest to enjoy these small roadside plants. Dandelions must be a delicacy, as she risks her cubs safety so they can enjoy them.
I painted this animal art because the cub was adorable as he sized up the dandelion. He wasn't much taller than the plant, creating interest within this wall art due to the dichotomy of such a feared hunter being challenged by a common weed.
My signature appears on the front of the work and my Certificate of Authenticity is included.
